New england thin axe head with curved bit excellent condition. This is a thin axe head with a curved bit and 2 light grooves that was unearthed years ago under the floor boards of a very old house in southeastern massachusetts by the person that i bought it from. Axe is 5 1/2 long, 2 7/8 deep, and 5/8 at the thickest point, and it has the 2 lgiht grooves on the back half of the head for hafting.
Condition adn patina are excellent with no damage and no restoration and only a couple of very small flakes on the bit edge. Both faces of the axe head are relatively flat, but the area between the 2 grooves is concave on noe side and very smooth. This is an interesting axe from new england and has never been offerde on the market before. Cashier's check, money order, personal check, or paypal accepted.
